We shall be running a Beginners’ Course online in Summer 2020 with Mario Trevino for those unable to attend classes in London. See above.

This popular beginners’ course with Sue Farebrother will introduce all 78 cards, show different layouts and offer plenty of practice with readings. You will learn from guided imagery, storytelling, intuitive exercises and creative practical work to help develop your understanding. There will be many practical exercises and spreads and, by the end of the course, you will have enough knowledge and experience to begin doing consultations for others and yourself.

No previous knowledge is required. There will be a small amount of homework set most weeks and an optional Certificate Exam (£25) offered after the course. Bring your cards if you have them (no specific pack is required), or learn about types of tarot pack during the first class.

This course is run by Sue Farebrother and designed for those of you who already have a reasonable familiarity with tarot, and would like to build on your knowledge and confidence. We will approach deepening your understanding of the imagery of the cards through discussion, guided meditation, psychic development exercises, and story-telling. Broadly, the planned content is:

  • Recapping the Major and Minor cards briefly, including new exercises with the Court cards
  • Card combining, including new layouts and spreads
  • Reading practise (in pairs and small groups)
  • Reversing the cards
  • Symbolic thinking and keeping a Tarot Journal
  • Intuitive exercises and guided imagery
  • Thinking outside the box – the cards you like or dislike
  • The question of karma and your continuing personal development
  • Confidence building. Professional opportunities. Reading just for yourself

There will be a small amount of homework set most weeks and an optional Certificate Exam (£25) offered after the course. Bring your cards if you have them (no specific pack is required). Please note the new start time of 11.30am to accommodate Sunday train schedules. We recommend you bring a lunch for the shortened lunch period.
